With nearly 15 years of experience working in the field of counseling, I’ve worked with individuals, couples, and families. As a therapist, I hold dual specializations in both Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy. After obtaining my bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University, I completed a Dual Master’s Degree Program at Barry University in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy.
I have worked with all ages in various settings such as private practice, education systems, outpatient programs, and inpatient facilities. My areas of expertise include complex PTSD/Trauma, poor mood & emotional regulation, anxiety, substance abuse, and relationship issues in couples and families. I am extensively trained in both Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and am currently receiving training in the Gottman Method approach to couples therapy.

Philosophy of Treatment
- There’s an Art and Story to Therapy.
It is a delicate balance between skills, teaching, listening, reflecting, empathy, courage, and most importantly insight. Over these years of being a clinician, I would like to think I’ve become more aware of what it takes to effectively communicate that Art and Story. What’s helped? Developing a genuine and honest therapeutic relationship with you. Why? Simple, it helps you confront your issues, meet your needs and achieve your goals. If you’re finding your canvas and book is empty, overwhelming or in disarray by anxiety, relationship issues, trauma or lack of purpose then let’s collaborate in your journey toward peace, meaning, and wellness. From working with children to adults, individuals to families, my expertise and specializations allow me to view you as a whole person and not just your problems.
