After obtaining my bachelor’s degree from Florida A&M University, I completed a Dual Master’s Degree Program at Barry University in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy. I have worked with clients ranging from children, adults, couples and families in various settings including private practice, schools, outpatient programs and inpatient facilities. My areas of expertise include complex PTSD/Trauma, poor mood & emotional regulation, anxiety, substance abuse and relationship issues in couples and family. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and am Registered as a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern with the State of Florida. Philosophy of Treatment
There’s an Art and Story to Therapy. It is a delicate balance between skills, teaching, listening, reflecting, empathy, courage and most importantly insight. Over these years of being a clinician, I would like to think I’ve become more aware of what it takes to effectively communicate that Art and Story. What’s helped? Developing a genuine and honest therapeutic relationship with you. Why? Simple, it helps you confront your issues, meet your needs and achieve your goals.
If you’re finding your canvas and book are empty, overwhelming or in disarray by anxiety, relationship issues, trauma or lack of purpose than let’s collaborate in your journey toward peace, meaning and wellness. From working with children to adults, individuals to families, my expertise and specializations allows me to view you as a whole person and not just your problems.
